Capabilities
You will learn about Horse Logic from Doc Parker, distance relation of the
Great Chief Quanaha Parker. The great horseman who passed on his
love of horses to his heirs. Doc teaches a complete non-abusive
training style using the horse's own natural instincts.
I myself have been working with horses since I was 15 years
old. I am now a Granny in my 50's. We raise and
train our own horses here. We work the horses and cows and we
also like to drive our buggy down the street or take the buckboard to
town for feed. My love of horses has taught me how to work
with them.
-
- Holistic Health Care is something I have done in my life for the
past 30 years and I use all of my combined training in the areas
of Aromatherapy, Flower Essence and Accupressure for
-
the benefit of the
horses.
At Spirit Ranch we understand that not all riders are equal.
We offer Novice training for someone who has never been around a horse much
and doesn't really know how to ride, but wants to. This training is slow
and easy and teaches you to become confident and comfortable in the seat.
We will do local trails and then advance to Castle Rock Trails with fairly even
ground.
Intermediate riders start with the basics as a refresher course and then get
started riding trails quickly. We will advance to Wildcat Mountain State
Park with trails up hills and down ravines. We take if fairly easy so you
won't get saddle sore
Advanced riders have the most experience and get to enjoy riding in either
Kickapoo Valley with 40 miles of trails or try out Wildcat Mountain.
We can also ride at Black River Falls and enjoy camping out in the State
Park after riding most of the day. We will have a second day of riding in
the Park and then head back to base camp.
We even make special arrangements for those folks who don't have a whole week
for their vacation time, but would love to ride a weekend in the woods and
valleys of Wildcat Mountain. You are invited to come and enjoy our simple
food and lodging for a weekend while you enjoy great riding.
For those who like a real challenge we offer an extended stay vacation of 10
days for those who want to try their hand at gaming as well as trail
riding.
